Spanning 1901 to 1978, the Marguerite Harris Papers comprises correspondence, writings, and memorabilia of the American avant-garde poet and editor (1898 or 9-1978). An active member of the Poetry Society of America, Marguerite Harris bridged the gap between two generations of poets: the Imagist and Surrealist writers, and the Beats.
